Venuedepth is a research tool. It does not connect to your broker, hold your money, or make money from advertising, so there is very little reason for it to know anything about you — and it mostly doesn't. This page says exactly what it does know.

Venuedepth operates this site from Norway and is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at hello@venuedepth.com about anything on this page, including any request described under your rights.
We do not build a profile of you and we have nothing to sell to anyone else. An account is optional — every free part of the site works without one — and if you do create one, what it holds is listed below.
One thing did change. This site advertises on Facebook and Instagram, and if you accept it loads Meta's pixel so Meta can tell which of those adverts led to a visit. Nothing is loaded, and no request is made to Meta, unless you say yes — see advertising measurement below. It would be the only third party your browser talks to here; the fonts, the styles and the data all come from this domain.
The companies you follow and your chosen base currency are saved in your own browser's local storage. They are never transmitted to us, never stored on our servers, and we cannot read them. Clearing your browser data deletes them permanently — we hold no copy and cannot restore them.
This is also why that list does not follow you to another device: it never left the first one.
An account is only there so a subscription is not tied to one browser. It holds:
We also keep a record of each signed-in session so you stay signed in, and a short-lived count of failed sign-in attempts against an email address, which is what stops a password being guessed at speed. Signing out deletes the session immediately.
You can delete your account and everything above by writing to us. Deleting an account does not cancel a subscription — do that in Stripe's billing portal from the pricing page first, or ask us and we will do both.
Once you buy a plan, we store a small record so the site knows what you have paid for:
Your card details never reach us. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on their own pages; we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and nothing else. We cannot see your card number, and we could not charge it ourselves if we wanted to.
The cookies this site sets are these, and no others. vd_customer holds your Stripe customer identifier, signed so it cannot be altered or forged, and tells the site you are a subscriber. vd_session holds a random session token if you are signed in — the token itself, not your details, and we store only a fingerprint of it rather than the token. Signing in with Google briefly sets three more that exist purely to carry that exchange safely and expire within ten minutes.
Every one of them is strictly necessary for something you asked for — staying signed in, or reaching what you have paid for. None of those is used for tracking or advertising.
If you accept advertising measurement, Meta's pixel sets its own cookies separately from the list above, to recognise a browser that arrived from one of our adverts. Those are advertising cookies rather than necessary ones, and they are described under advertising measurement. Refuse and none of them is ever set.
We do not measure visits. There is no analytics script on this site, no pageview counter and no record of who read what. This page said otherwise until 8 September 2026 — it described Cloudflare Web Analytics, which had in fact never been installed. That was wrong, and this is what actually happens instead.
One thing is recorded, and only for people who subscribe. When you first arrive, your browser notes the site that linked you here — the host alone, such as instagram.com, plus a campaign name if the link carried one. It stays in your own browser's storage and is sent nowhere. If you later subscribe, it is attached to that subscription so we can tell which advert paid for itself. If you never subscribe, it is never sent anywhere at all, and clearing your browser data removes it.
It is not a cookie, it is not a third-party script, and it cannot follow you to another site. We keep the host and the campaign name rather than the full address you came from, because the rest of a link is often somebody else's identifier for you.
This site advertises on Facebook and Instagram. To know which adverts are worth paying for, it can load Meta's pixel (fbevents.js, from connect.facebook.net). It sets Meta's own cookies and tells Meta that a browser which saw one of our adverts reached this site, and whether it subscribed.
It is not loaded until you accept. Meta offers no way to run its pixel in a mode that watches but stores nothing, so the choice here is not a setting passed to a script that is already running — it decides whether the script is fetched at all. Refuse and your browser never makes a request to Meta, which means Meta never sees your address either.
This is the one thing on the site that would report you to a third party, and it is there because the site has to find readers somewhere. Meta is the data controller for what its pixel collects, and what it does with it is governed by Meta's own terms rather than by this page.
You are asked before anything loads, wherever you are. Not only in the EEA: the site cannot tell which country you are in without either geolocating you or making every page slower for everyone, so the stricter rule is applied to everybody rather than to most people. Nothing on this site depends on the answer, and no feature is withheld from a reader who refuses.
Your answer is kept in your own browser, not on our servers, so it is per browser and per device — and clearing your browser data clears it, which means you will be asked again.
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes each request and records ordinary technical information such as IP address, timestamp and the page requested. This is what makes it possible to serve pages and to see whether the site is broken. We do not use it to identify individuals.
Subscribers see a plain-English summary of a company's figures, written by an AI model running on Cloudflare's infrastructure. The only thing sent to that model is the company's own numbers — price trend, volatility, SEC-filed valuation and analyst consensus. Nothing about you is sent with it, and the summaries are stored per company rather than per person.
That is the complete list, and we do not sell personal data. These providers operate internationally, so data may be processed outside Norway and the EEA under the safeguards in their own terms.
The market data on this site comes from the SEC, Nasdaq, exchanges and official newsrooms. Those requests are made by our servers, not your browser, so reading a company page here does not tell any of them anything about you.
The subscriber record is kept while your subscription is active and afterwards only as long as we need it for accounting and tax obligations. Ask us to delete it and we will remove everything we are not legally required to keep. Records held by Stripe are governed by their own retention rules.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, receive a copy in a portable format, object to how we use it, and ask us to restrict its use. We rely on performing our contract with you as the legal basis for the subscriber record, and on our legitimate interest in a functioning, secure website for server logs.
Email hello@venuedepth.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or to the supervisory authority where you live.
This service is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting existing subscribers will be sent to the email address on the subscription.
